Addi Turbo Circular 30cm

前幾天為朋友到毛線店買毛線，當然少不免要看看有沒有什麼有趣的東西。突然給我看到了這個！我最愛的addi輪針，有３０ｃｍ超短的呀！正好用來作我的tilted duster的袖子了！其實我己經作好了一隻袖子，但我縫的技術真得非常差勁，待我試試用這個來作環編會不會好一點，希望可以吧。

I went to a LYS to buy some yarn for my friend a few days ago, and of course, I took a glance at whatever interesting. Suddenly, this thing came to my eyes. My favourite addi turbo, with super short 30cm long! oh no! I could use it for the sleeves of my tilted duster!! Actually I've finished one, but as my seaming technique's too ugh...... Let me try to use this for a circular knitting to see if it goes well!

Magic Yarn Ball Received! 魔法毛線球收到了！

今天回家就收到了令人快樂的禮物！遠道而來由台灣送到的魔法毛線球！好高興呢！
I received my magic yarn ball today! It's all the way from Taiwan! Horray!

看，連小狗都迷上了球球呀！

先把連著的另一個包裝打開，哦，是信封信紙呢。唔，也不知道有多久沒有寫信了，倒勾起了小時候儲信紙的潮流呀。
I opened the other package sent with the ball, oh, it's a letter pack. Um.... I cannot remember last time I wrote a letter....but it reminded me of the trend for collecting letter packs long long time ago.


一打開，就看見包得好好的一個球，裏邊的所有東西都看不倒呀，捲得很整齊。唔，覺得自己的那個好醜呢。
When I opened the package, I saw a very properly winded ball which I could not see any content inside. Umm... I think mine sucks.

裏邊有由右至左的，跟著掉出來的次序是，熨章，星星吊飾，漂亮的記號環，珠鏈，小鹿飾物，唇彩，扣子和髮飾，都好可愛呀。
The things inside following the sequence of falling out, from left to right are: badge, star ornaments, gorgeous stitch markers, pearl bracelet, reindeer ornaments, lip gloss, buttons and hair bands. I just love all of them.

在我把線捲好的期間，小狗就在我的身邊睡著了。
When I was winding the ball, my doggy slept at my side.
你看！原來它是在扮睡呀！！

This is the 2nd scarf I knit using this kind of "bubble yarn". Does it look like marshmallow? I really wanted to swallow it right a way.
這是我編的第二條波波圍巾。是不是好像綿花糖呢？看得我好想把它吞下肚子裏呢。

This one knits differently from the 1st one, and I used a pair of 12mm straight to knit it in garter stitch. Very simple, easy, and fast, again.
這條和第一條有點兒不同，我用了１２ｍｍ粗的直針來編，全低針，非常簡單，而且很快呢。

The result is just lovely, and when I put it on, it just like a old girl pretending to be young. umm.... but it's still lovely. Let me think what shall I put on with this scarf first.....
雖然是這麼簡單，可是出來的結果好好看呀。可是當我掛上自己身上的時候，有點兒像老女人扮年輕呢。待我好好想一想該怎樣配好了。

這種線從上年開始就流行於香港的街頭。在上年季尾，我也買了一團想玩一下，可是完全弄不清楚該怎麼放那些小球，結果就放棄了。
This yarn has been really popular in Hong Kong since last year, and I've bought one for fun at the end of last winter. However, I couldn't figure out how to put those little bubbles and decided to leave it alone.

今年再接再勵，買下另外兩球，再在路邊攤看了很久該怎麼作，回到家再不停的試，結果我終於成功了！
I tried this year by buying another two balls, and stared at the sample scarf at the roadside stall where I bought them, and then tried it repeatedly at home, and FINALLY I got it!!

在傷風中完成的圍巾，要用，也許要先消毒一下才可以了。
This is a scarf completed during flu, maybe I gotta sterilize it before using it.

這圍巾只用了一天就完成了。
This scarf was finished in one day.

花樣非常的簡單，只用簡單的下針就可以完成了，特別的只是毛線。雖然織法非常簡單，也很快就可以完成，但成品非常的漂亮！如何使用這種毛線，可以參考這兒，或這兒可找到錄影。
The pattern is nothing, it's just a garter stitch scarf with a special yarn. The knitting is very very simple, and fast, and the result's just gorgeous. The way to deal with this yarn can be found here, or a video instruction here.

我不慣穿這種太女性化的東西，而且紫色是我嫂嫂最愛的顏色，所以這條圍巾很快就會被送走了。
I am not that used to this kind of feminine thing, and purple is my SIL's favourite colour, so I am giving that away.

當我在捐血站的休息室等朋友的時侯，拿了這個毛線出來織織。那兒的工作人員看到我在編這個東東，就過來問我這個是怎樣做的。對呀，我覺得這個看起來真的很有趣呢，我身邊的親友也有不少人在看過成品後買了毛線了！
I knitted at the waiting room of a blood donation centre while waiting for my friends, and staff there just come up to me after sometime and feel so interested in the scarf in progress. Yeah, it's really interesting to look at, and easy to do! My friends and family members are so fond of it and three of them have already brought the yarn and ready to cast on!

ISE5 Received! 收到了!

I got my ISE5 package when I got back home from work today! It's wrapped in a lovely package that reminds me Christmas is coming!

今天放工回到家發現收到了很有聖誕氣氛的ISE5的郵件！

My pal is Cathy-Cate! She designed and knitted a fabulous red lace scarf for me, decorated with sparkling golden beads, which really goes with the lunar new year! and, also for Christmas! I can see my mum's eyes staring at the scarf, and she kept on petting it, and saying it's sooooo soft, greedily. I just love it!

我的密友是Cathy-Cate！她為我設計了一條非常可愛的蕾絲圍巾給我呢！用的是紅色的線，連上金色的珠子，有十足的新年氣氛呀！還非常適合聖誕節呢！媽媽摸著圍巾，不停的說著好軟，好滑，眼珠也快掉出來了。我真的好喜歡呢！

Cathy, kind and generous and nice Cathy, sent some lovely goodies with the scarf, including tasty mint sugar, chocolates, and a set of natural skin care products including lip balm, a soap and a tin of moisturiser!

Cathy也寄來了很多其他不同的小禮物，包括糖果，巧克力，和潤唇膏，肥皂及潤膚霜呢！

She also included a pack of yarn for me from twisted! I can't explain how soft it is, but it's just so nice! Ideas came up and I am thinking of how to use it! Oh thanks Cathy!.

她還為我寄來了一綑毛線，是etsy上的twisted！我不能明白為什麼可以這麼的柔軟呀！看著這毛線，腦中不停的在想可以作些什麼呢～真的很謝謝Cathy！

By the way, Barb has received my scarf!

This margaret finished with the shawl at nearly the same time.

我第一次看到這書就愛上了這個花樣，好漂亮，而且穿起來不土，最重要的是，不用挑針，也無須另外作袖子。
I fell in love with this pattern once I read the book. It is gorgeous, and fashionable, and most importantly, I don't need to pick up stitches, or to make sleeves.

這是我為自己作的第一條披肩！
This is the first shawl I made for myself!

若果跟圖樣作的話，要作更多的花樣，但由於我的線不太夠，所以我只作了這樣，但其實對自己來說都夠大了。我的手勁往往都比別人鬆，所以不論是鉤的或是織的都比別人的大一點呢。
I'd have to make a several more repeats if I do the whole pattern, but I stopped at this point due to lack of yarn. Well, but that's large enough for me. My tension is often less than the "standard" ones, either in knitting or crocheting, so whatever I do is larger than what others do.

我好喜歡這個線線的顏色呢。用來作披肩，不太搶眼，也有色彩的轉換，不論是給自己或是媽媽用都可以呢。
I love the colour of the yarn. It's gradual change of mild colours is just perfect for a shawl. My mom's eyes are already staring at it and we can use together!

I finally received my invitation of ravelry!

這是一個外國的網站，但組織了全世界喜歡編織的人們，讓他們有一個共同的地方展示作品，毛線，又可以交換不同的資訊。好方便，也很有趣。最好的是如果我有某一種毛線，我可以看一下其他朋友會用來編什麼呢。
This is a foreign website which coordinates every knitters/crocheters in the world. It provides a common area for the knitters to show their projects and stash, and at the same time various information is being exchanged. It's convenient, yet interesting. The best use of it would be if I have certain yarn, I can search and see how other knitters use them as a project.

剛在網上找了一下，不論是香港或是台灣的參加者的不多呢，可能始終是用英語作主要語言吧。
Just searched on the web and found that not many people from HK or Taiwan joined..... Probably because English is used?
